The UI/UX Design course at HIDA teaches students how to design digital experiences that people love using. Module 1
Introduction to UI/UX Design

By the end of this module, students lay the groundwork for effective exploration and iteration in UI/UX design.

Visual Design Principles
Visual design plays a crucial role in shaping user perceptions and interactions. In this module, students will explore fundamental principles of visual design, including color theory, typography, layout composition, and branding. They will learn how to create visually appealing and cohesive interfaces that resonate with users and reflect brand identity.
Module 5
Prototyping and Interaction Design
Students explore prototyping techniques to transform design concepts into interactive models. They delve into interaction design principles, emphasizing intuitive user experiences. Through practical exercises, students refine their skills in rapid prototyping and creating seamless interactions, ensuring designs meet user needs effectively.
Module 6
Responsive and Adaptive Design
In this module, students learn how to make designs that work well on all kinds of devices and screen sizes. They figure out how to design things so they look good and work smoothly on phones, tablets, and computers. They learn about cool tricks like using media queries and fluid layouts to make sure everything looks consistent no matter what device you're using.
Module 7
The UI Process And Principles
In this module, students will learn about understanding how to apply typography, iconography, imagery, design components, how to get UI and us design kits, also, a lot of free resources to get free licensed content.
Module 8
Usability Testing and Iterative Design
In this module, students will learn how to plan and conduct usability tests, analyze user feedback, and iterate on their designs based on insights gained from testing. They will also explore techniques for gathering qualitative and quantitative data to measure the effectiveness of their designs.
Module 9
Creating Compelling Case Studies
In this module, students learn to create compelling case studies that demonstrate their design expertise and problem-solving skills. They develop skills in documenting the design process, from research and ideation to final implementation, and learn to communicate design decisions and outcomes effectively.
Module 10
Working With Developers
In this module, students learn the essentials of collaborating between designers and developers. They acquire skills in effective communication with development teams, understanding technical limitations, and maintaining design integrity during implementation. Additionally, students explore tools and techniques for seamless collaboration across diverse disciplines.
Module 11
Portfolio Development and Presentation
The portfolio is a showcase of students' skills, creativity, and accomplishments as UI/UX designers. In this module, students will learn how to curate and present their portfolio effectively to potential employers and clients. They will develop the ability to tell compelling stories about their design projects, highlight their unique strengths, and differentiate themselves in a competitive job market.
