Director’s Eye is a special filmmaking workshop led by acclaimed independent filmmaker Siddharth Chauhan. This workshop is designed to give participants a deeper understanding of the director’s role — from visualizing the story and working with actors to planning shots and creating impactful scenes.
Through practical insights, real-time examples, and interactive discussions, aspiring filmmakers will get a rare chance to step into the mind of a director and learn how to shape compelling narratives for the screen.
Whether you're a beginner or already exploring filmmaking, this hands-on workshop will help you sharpen your directorial instincts and approach cinema with a fresh perspective.
About the Mentor
With over a decade of experience in writing, directing, and producing fiction content, Siddharth Chauhan has made remarkable contributions not only through his films but also as an educator. He has taught filmmaking and journalism at the university level, conducted screenwriting workshops, and mentored students from premier institutions like NIFT, NIT, Whistling Woods, SRFTI, and FTII. His dedication to guiding young storytellers reflects a deep commitment to nurturing creativity and artistic growth.
Siddharth Chauhan’s films are known for their originality and rooted storytelling. His debut feature Amar Colonypremiered at the BAFTA & Oscar-qualifying Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, where he became the first Indian filmmaker to win the Special Jury Prize. The film also earned him the Best Indian Debut Director award at IFFK 2022 and a nomination for the FIPRESCI India Grand-Prix. Through his work, Siddharth continues to amplify voices, preserve cultural memory, and inspire the next generation of filmmakers.

Q. Who is this workshop for?
Ans. The workshop is for 18 years and above – for newcomers, aspiring filmmakers and established ones wanting to discover their original & unique voice.
Q. Which language will it be conducted in?
Ans. The workshop will be conducted in English and Hindi.
Q. How many participants in a Workshop?
Ans. The number of participants differ in each batch. Usually, it ranges between 5-8 so that personal attention can be given to each applicant.
Q. What is the Fee and Registration process?
Ans. Please fill the Application Form to Register. We will screen all applications & confirm your participation after reviewing your application. Once you receive a confirmation email from us, you make the full payment i.e. 3,500 INR (not refundable) to secure your spot.
Q. Do I need prior experience?
Ans. No! Passion for storytelling & filmmaking is enough.
